The demo was horrible. Even if the full game is a bit better I still think it will get mediocre to lousy scores overall.

Bioshock barely has a story at all. Bioshock's a great game an all, but the story isn't what made it so great. It was the art direction, and the atmosphere, which made it a great game.
So far signs are showing it's not quite worth the 50 mill investment M$ put into it. Instead that money could have been used a bit more wisely in securing them an entirely new exclusive IP.
I think both games will be great, but the art style for Killzone 2 is far superior. I'll take the graphic looking characters over complete meat heads. Killzone 2's art, and graphics are matched by none, but I obviously need to play it before I can tell how good the game play is, which so far it looks great. While Gears still holds the most fun game play yet in a multiplayer setting, and the second should be just as fun if not more so.
Anyone with eyes can see Killzone 2 is pushing the limits for gaming graphics, and Gears barely pushing past it's 06 brother, which isn't a bad thing as the original looked great, but it's not in the same league.
With that said both games will be amazing.
